What's Happening in 2010??
- "Paint the Village Summertime" - Adopt a Hydrant Become a hydrant sponsor and paint your favorite summertime theme on Saturday, June 26, 2010. Donations are $25.00. See any Angola Volunteer Explorer or Fireman for details or click here. Support our Explorers and make a difference in our Village! Census 2010 - In March of 2010, census forms were delivered to every residence in the United States and Puerto Rico. When you receive yours, just answer the 10 short questions and then mail the form back in the postage-paid envelope provided. If you don't mail the form back, you may receive a visit from a census taker, who will ask you the questions from the form. For more information, visit the 2010 Census site at http://2010.census.gov/2010census/
REMEMBER: Census data helps determine how more that $400 BILLION in Federal funds are distributed to state, local and tribal areas each year. A complete count of your community in the census will help ensure that your community gets its fair share of census-based funding for the next ten years. IF EVERYONE ACROSS THE NATION MAILED BACK THEIR FORM, TAXPAYERS COULD REDUCE THE COST OF TAKING THE CENSUS BY $1.5 BILLION. Below is a tracker to see how well our community is participating in the Census. It shows what percentage of households have mailed back theie Census forms.
